Hydroid AUVs are used for monitoring and tracking the world’s fish population, including measuring the impact of over-fishing, habitat destruction, pollution and toxin levels, as well as determining how to increase the fish population.

The vehicles can be outfitted with the best research sensors on the market including the SIMRAD EK60 Scientific Sounder as well as acoustic fish trackers, ECO pucks, dissolved oxygen optode, nitrate analyzers, conductivity and temperature, depth and radiometers. Combine these data-collection tools with a wide range of sidescan, bathymetry and bottom-mapping sonars and the AUVs can provide a complete system for even the most demanding fishery or habitat environment.
